Doran Racing Announces Henry Repeating Arms
Will Be Primary Sponsor of Swanson’s
Non-Wing Asphalt Sprint Car in 2022

GAS CITY, Ind., March 16 – The Hoosier State Modlites series has been added to the Saturday night, July 2 racing program at Gas City I-69 Speedway, track and series officials announced today.

Mod lites are scaled-down versions of full modifieds and are powered by motorcycle engines. They attract big fields because they’re a more economical form of racing than many other classes.

The mod lites, which will be making their first appearance at Gas City, will join their big brothers, the UMP modifieds, along with street stocks and hornets in a show that will also feature a huge fireworks program to celebrate the Fourth of July weekend.

Dale Grote is the defending Hoosier State Modlites series champion, and Andrew Tragesser won the series’ Rookie of the Year award in 2021.

An open “test and tune” practice day for all classes is set for Wednesday night, April 27 at Gas City in preparation for the season opener on Friday night, May 6.
